Connecting Shopline storefronts to NetSuite for orders, inventory, fulfilment, and finance, built on Shopline’s Open API by a NetSuite Alliance Partner with teams in the US and India.
Shopline is one of the leading commerce platforms across Hong Kong, Southeast Asia, Taiwan, and Australia, and it is increasingly the storefront for brands that also run NetSuite. Unlike Shopify or BigCommerce, there is no packaged NetSuite connector for it: no Oracle connector, no prebuilt integration app. That is not a problem so much as a design decision. An integration built on Shopline’s Open API and NetSuite’s SuiteTalk and RESTlet interfaces can do exactly what your business needs, with NetSuite as the single source of truth for products, stock, and financials, and Shopline as the customer-facing channel.
| Data | Becomes | Direction | Notes |
|---|---|---|---|
| Orders | Sales order or cash sale | Shopline → NetSuite | Including multi-currency orders and Shopline POS where used |
| Customers | Customer record | Shopline → NetSuite | Matched on email or member ID; guest orders handled by rule |
| Products & variants | Items and matrix items | NetSuite → Shopline | NetSuite is the item master; SKUs must match exactly |
| Inventory levels | Available quantity by location | NetSuite → Shopline | From one or more NetSuite locations and 3PLs |
| Fulfilments | Shipment with tracking | NetSuite → Shopline | Triggers the customer’s shipping notification |
| Refunds & cancellations | Credit memo, refund, or closed order | Shopline → NetSuite | Line-level partial refunds included |
| Payments & payouts | Deposit with fee lines | Shopline → NetSuite | Gateway payouts reconciled to the bank by currency |
| Tax | Tax lines | Either | Shopline-calculated tax imported as lines, or NetSuite as the system of record by country |
Custom integration on Shopline’s Open API. Consule’s usual recommendation for Shopline. Built directly between Shopline’s API and NetSuite’s RESTlets and SuiteTalk, with the flows, mappings, and error handling your business needs and nothing you do not. You own it outright and there is no subscription.
Integration platform with a generic connector. Celigo, Boomi, and similar platforms have no packaged Shopline app, but their universal HTTP connectors can be configured against Shopline’s API. This suits businesses already running one of those platforms for other integrations, at the cost of a licence and a build that is custom in all but name.
Regional middleware. Some Asia-Pacific integration vendors offer Shopline connectors to various ERPs. Coverage of NetSuite varies and depth is often limited to orders and inventory; Consule evaluates these case by case.
The recommendation depends on which markets and currencies you sell in, order volume, whether Shopline POS is in play, and who will own the integration after go-live.
Currencies and subsidiaries. Shopline stores frequently sell in several currencies and markets. Which NetSuite subsidiary and currency each order belongs to has to be decided explicitly, especially under OneWorld.
Payouts by gateway. Shopline payouts arrive from different gateways by region, each netting its own fees. Each is reconciled separately or finance ends up matching by hand.
SKUs that almost match. The universal integration failure. Consule audits the item catalogue before anything is connected.
Every flow, field by field, in a mapping document your team signs off: what an order becomes, how customers are matched, which subsidiary and currency each market posts to, which locations feed the store, and how gateway payouts are accounted for.
Connector configured or scripts written to the mapping, in a sandbox, with error handling and alerting so a failed record is visible within minutes rather than at month-end.
Live-shaped cases: multi-currency orders, partial refunds, POS sales where used, and a real payout by gateway. Finance signs off before go-live.

Selling on Shopline from a factory or a warehouse?
Consule’s clients are manufacturers and distributors, many selling across Asia-Pacific and North America from the same NetSuite account. Storefront stock has to respect wholesale allocations, and Shopline often runs alongside Shopify, Amazon, and EDI customers. We design the Shopline flow as one part of that picture, with delivery teams in both the US and India.
No. There is no Oracle connector and no prebuilt integration app for Shopline. Integrations are built on Shopline’s Open API, either as custom development against NetSuite’s APIs or through a general-purpose integration platform.
A single store with standard flows and a clean item catalogue typically takes six to ten weeks as a custom build. Multiple markets, currencies, POS, or a 3PL add time. Consule scopes it after discovery.
Yes. POS transactions come through Shopline’s API like online orders and can post as cash sales against the store’s location, with inventory decremented accordingly.
Consule can, under the CARE program, including monitoring, error handling, and updates when Shopline or NetSuite change their APIs. Or your team can, since you own the code.
